The Portly Panda Party 2010 - Fun for All The Family!
24 February 2010
Portly Panda has a popular fan club of over 4,000 members and every year Portly celebrates his birthday with all his loyal friends.
The Portly Panda Club is an exclusive membership club for children who have been born or treated at The Portland Hospital which was established in 1983. The club has proved to be very popular with over 4,000 members joining from newborns and children up to the age of 11.
The Portland Hospital values every child treated and delivered at the hospital and every year Portly Panda, our resident mascot, invites all his club members to his Portly Panda Fancy Dress Party. This year the party takes place at Kensington Town Hall on Sunday 7th March 2010. Children will have the opportunity to dress up as their favourite character whether it be Bob the Builder, Dora the Explorer, Harry Potter, Postman Pat or Sportacus and Stephanie from LazyTown. The possibilities are endless!
Laura Roberts, Marketing Coordinator at The Portland Hospital is helping Portly organise his big birthday party for this year, commented "Portly Panda Parties are a great day for all the family with sing-a-long songs, party games, birthday disco. The event is always very popular, it's great to see so many children getting together to have fun!".
Portly and Rabbit love to watch the children get all dressed-up for his party so much that he runs a competition to give prizes to the best dressed children's fictional characters. And of course Portly wouldn't let any of his friends go home empty handed so makes sure that every child gets his fun party bag full of goodies!"
Parents are not forgotten either and are given the chance to relax with complimentary therapies and reflexology.
