HCA wins HealthInvestor Award for Private Hospital Group

01 June 2012

HCA International Limited, which owns London’s six leading independent hospitals, has won the prestigious 2012 HealthInvestor Award for  ‘Private Hospital Group of the Year’.

Michael Neeb, President and Chief Executive Officer of HCA International Limited, received the award at last night’s Grosvenor House Hotel ceremony, from Olympian and world champion athlete, Roger Black.

The Award was presented to mark HCA’s outstanding achievements during 2011 when, at a time of a faltering national economy, HCA increased its patient numbers and continued to make major and long term investment in its facilities, new technology and training, at the same time as achieving very high patient treatment outcomes.

Michael Neeb said the award was the result of the hard work and dedication of the group’s doctors, nurses, specialist medical and support staff.  “This major award is recognition of the efforts and achievements of everyone at HCA and I thank all of my colleagues for making their contribution,” he said.

“Despite the most difficult financial climate in the UK for many years, we have continued to make very substantial and long term investment in our hospitals, in new diagnostic and treatment technology and other facilities that help us to give our patients the best possible care.”

“In so many areas of acute and tertiary medicine, in cancer and cardiac for example, we are able to deliver the complete pathway of care for patients of every age in the best equipped hospitals in the country; a truly unique achievement in the UK private sector.”

“This award will inspire us to continue to provide the best care and the best service we can for every one of our patients into the future,” said Mr Neeb.
