Miss Shree Datta is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and is the Divisional Educational lead at King’s College Hospital. She qualified from Imperial College School of Medicine in 2003, obtaining the Arther Macey Scholarship for her student research in venous grafting and Helen Lawson research award for her post-graduate research in ovarian cancer. She completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at some of the best institutions in London.
She provides a range of gynaecological services and treatments, including Minimal Access (Key-Hole) Surgery, pelvic ultrasound, early pregnancy, abnormal Smear Management and Colposcopy, having practiced for over 10 years. Her philosophy is to provide her patients with the best care throughout their journey, with a calm and logical patient-centred approach. She understands the busy schedules women have and is able to tailor appointments and procedures accordingly. She is known for her personal approach and interest in her patients.
Shree Datta currently holds a number of National positions, which include being a Council member of the Royal Society of Medicine Obstetrics and Gynaecology section and Council member and trustee to the General Medical Council, where she underlines the importance of patient safety. She was elected unopposed to chair the UK British Medical Association’s Junior Doctors Committee and subsequently the North European Junior Doctors Committee. She was subsequently awarded Fellowship of the British Medical Association, and was highlighted as one of the top 50 UK BME Pioneers by Hospital Services Journal.
