In her bid to explore life and challenge herself further, she moved to the UK in 2001 where she undertook her postgraduate training in paediatrics. Anshoo moved between various hospitals including Royal London Hospital and St. George’s Hospital in London and gained a wide range of experience in paediatrics and neonatal medicine.
Anshoo has a special interest in cardiology and successfully completed her training at the renowned Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool and Glenfield Hospital in Leicester.
She is currently a NHS Paediatric Consultant at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage and QE-2, Welwyn Garden City. She is also an Honorary Consultant in Royal Brompton Hospital in London.
Ready to take more challenges, she is now the Educational Lead of all medical trainees (30-35) doctors in the Paediatric department of her NHS trust and is currently undertaking a Diploma in Medical Education at Hertfordshire University.
She manages patients with general, acute and chronic paediatric health issues including respiratory, gastro-intestinal, infections, neurological, allergies, endocrine, skin problems etc.
She has a special interest in paediatric cardiology and in her NHS setting, performs initial cardiology assessments including ECG's and performing screening ECHOs for heart murmurs. She liaises with the Paediatric cardiologists as & when needed. She has achieved the European accreditation of congenital heart disease echocardiography.
With 15 years of experience, she believes in providing a holistic approach in the care of children. She understands family issues, various backgrounds and encourages greater involvement of families in the care of their children. During her career, she has published and has presented at several regional, national and international conferences on various topics of child health.
She is a family person and a mother of beautiful twin girls. She supports charities, organises events and enjoys time with her family during leisure times.
