13 October 2010 | The Portland Hospital
On Sunday 10th October a record number of over 250 visitors walked through The Portland Hospital doors for the Pregnancy Open which included 130 pregnant women. The open day provided an opportunity for parents-to-be and medical professionals to tour the hospital facilities.
A number of consultants and midwives were also on hand throughout the day to meet visitors and offer free one-to-one advice. Visitors were given the chance to see examples of some amazing 3D/4D ultrasound technology and enjoy a complimentary massage or reflexology treatment.
During the day mums-to-be could also have a free ‘Bump Photo' courtesy of Imagethirst photographers and they also received a luxury goodie bag to take home which had over £150 worth of gifts including Tomy beaker & feeding range, DVDs for dads-to-be, Gina Ford books, bibs and discount vouchers from Ralph Lauren & Mamas & Papas and much more including useful information on maternity, women and children’s services at The Portland Hospital.
Visitors thoroughly enjoyed the event and some of the feedback comments from the day included:
