Midwifery Supervision
An important part of our quality measures includes the Supervision of Midwives, which is a statutory requirement. The Supervisors of Midwives at The Portland Hospital are a team devoted to supporting best midwifery practice. They are keen to develop proactive relationships with all midwives who practice in the local area as well as influencing the development of quality maternity services more generally.
There is a 24 hour supervisory on-call service available to all midwives and women (clients) requiring the advice of a supervisor relating to practice/professional issues.
